Who we are

We’ve been here a long time. The pecan trees have been here longer. The rocks, much longer than that. In 1971, we started a summer camp for kids, grounded in the philosophy of individuality and honesty, hard work and the importance of having good fun outside. The camp, Sports Country, remains in the hearts of the Stark Family and the hearts of the thousands of campers, coaches and counselors that made this place special over almost 50 years of operation. Although the camp is now closed, the property–21-acres along the headwaters of Barton Creek–is still here. A refuge from the noise of the world.
